Learn How To Identify a Khalil Mamoon (KM) Hookah

Khalil Mamoon hookahs are known globally for their unique and beautiful designs. They are handmade in the heart of Cairo, Egypt and are one of the oldest hookah brands dating back to the late 1800's. Each KM regardless of which design, is unique due to its engravings. The detail in these pipes are incredible and renowned for their quality craftsmanship. You will notice different weldings if you were to put two of the same style and observe. Usually there are two main types of KM hookahs. These two types are either a heavy brass pipe or a lightweight stainless steel pipe. The heavy brass usually weighs around 3-6 pounds a stem based on the length of the pipe which vary from 21 inches - 41 inches.

Many other manufacturers also claim to make KM pipes which are fake and are produced mainly in China or other Asian countries but the only authentic KM hookahs are the ones imported from Cairo, Egypt. KM hookahs can be identified by two ways.

1st Identification Factor: Tray Engravings

The tray always has the Arabian KM signature stamped or engraved in. It will have the signature on both sides with the Khalil Mamoon logo. The tray will also be wither stainless steel or brass in material and will be coated with gold or its original silver finish.

2nd Identification Factor: Tray Carrier

The second way to identify a KM hookah is by its tray carrier on the stem near the bowl port. You will notice on the stem carrier which is usually shaped as flower petals, will also have it's signature horizontally and will also contain another Arabian text going vertically simply stating authentic manufacturer when translated. These are the main ways to identify a KM hookah stem.

KM hookahs also come with unique accessories such as the hose and base. You will notice on the glass base that it has the KM signature in Arabic and as well in English. Some Khalil Mamoon hookahs will also be spelt in English as Khalil Maamoon. The hose also has it's signature welded on a metal circular label or an orange cardboard piece.

So there you have it folks. Those are the two main factors to identify an authentic Khalil Mamoon Hookah. Hope you enjoyed this quick read. If you have any thoughts or questions please leave it in the comment section below.
